I had the opportunity to spend the weekend in Seattle with one of my besties this last weekend. We had such a great time and even had an evening to go out to a fun little club and dance. I don’t get girl time super often so I really treasure it when I do. This is what I wore out to dinner at Highway 99 Blues Club. They had a really fun funk band so we happily stayed and danced the night away then headed out to the huge ferris wheels for a view of the city. It was so beautiful at night with the light reflecting on the water. I so wish I had a better camera that would take good night pictures so I could post one.
I like the cut of this and it is knit so very comfy with lots of stretch although not super forgiving for areas that I am a little self conscious about.
We stopped at the MAC counter and had our make-up done. I usually quite enjoy doing my make-up and it is alway a little stressful having someone else applying to my eyes but I did like the end result and it was different than what I usually do and it was really fun to see what someone else thought would look nice with my face structure and eyes and such.
I’ve been lusting for the Lady Dragon’s by Melissa for a lifetime! It’s just that I couldn’t justify the $176.00 price tag for plastic shoes that reminded me of barbie shoes(although, honestly, that is totally part of why I was lusting). Well they finally went on sample sale and I jumped on them. I really found them to be comfortable and think the shape is so retro that it was a perfect complement for the cut of the dress.
Dress by BCBG MaxAzria on clearance. Necklace from H&M. Shoes my Jason Wu for Melissa from Gilt for $29.00 (they were $49.00 but I had a coupon). Purse was thrifted for $1.00.

Yep, totally agree, $178 is ridiculously over priced for melissa shoes. My husband AND my mother were shocked I paid $48 for a pair of their flip flops recently. It was a collaboration collection bla bla, but the reason I bought them was to support a local boutique more than to support Melissa making a GIANT markup!

qristy, i felt like the jason wu collab made it a little more reasonable but then the fact that i waited till i could get them for 29 says it all i suppose.
